SEPHORA Los Cabos Bronzer Review

In my last journey I mentioned I was getting into contouring and bought a couple of matte bronzers. This is one of them, SEPHORA'S Bronzer in shade Los Cabos ($17). Brown and warm undertoned. The number one reason I got this is because it's matte. Oily skinned gals I highly recommend this.
I got this due in part to the sales girl at Sephora who was incredibly helpful and patient with me.
(Me wearing the bronzer for about 6 hours, hence my oily forehead)
She had mentioned that this was a dupe for Benifits Hoola ($28). They had ran out of Benifits bronzer so I took the chance and bought the Sephora one, my wallet thanked me later. The only concern I have for myself is that it's a hair lighter then I was anticipating. Meaning whens it's winter (like it is now) it'll look good but once I tan it won't show as well during spring/summer. I am NC40 and Revon's early tan during the fall/winter, for reference.

If your a darker tone I would suggest going with a darker shade.
I do like that it's compact and comes with a good sized mirror that I use all the time while I'm getting ready.

MAC Pro Longwear SPF 20 Compact Foundation Review

Let me start off by mentioning that MAC's creme to powder foundation is not a new concept. As a matter of fact Max Factor use to have a similar creme to powder compact. I used to love my Max Factor one but since this brand is no longer available in the U.S. I had to switch over to liquid.
Anyways, back on topic...
I went to my nearest MAC Pro Store and saw that they came out with their own creme compact. I flagged a sales girl down immediately to match me. The result was NC40. With my liquid Studio Fix I'm NC35, which seemed odd to me until she explained that their colors change varying from foundation type. I thought to myself great, hope I don't have to return to exchange it later.
Bought it, took it home. (Also got Blunt Powder, separate review)
A week later I was excited to try it out by myself. Having had prior experience with creme foundation I knew I wasn't going to be using the round sponge that came with it in the bottom compartment. Too much crude gets on it from your purse if you carry it around with you. Thanks in part to the bottom of the compact having a sorta see through mesh.
I got some regular triangle sponges and gently swiped the foundation compact. Very smooth and creamy, velvet like texture and super easy to blend on your skin. Doesn't dry harshly and you can continue to keep building the coverage without it looking cakey.
After applying it on my entire face it felt and looked natural without it looking fake on my skin. And yes, I know it's makeup, but it doesn't look like your wearing a mask. I want to compare the finish to a bb creme like finish. And it does dry matte, at least for the first couple hours on me, I have really oily skin.
I chose not to set it with a powder which is probably why I got oily half way through the day.
The color match does feel off to me still but not by a whole bunch. Surprisingly NC40 looked lighter by a shade off. And I mentioned I wear Studio Fix Liquid in NC35.
I like that it comes in compact form making so much easier for touch ups through the day. Reminds me of the studio fix powder foundation compacts.
If you decide to get this or try it make you go in person and get matched.

Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation Review (UPDATED 2-6-2016) Pics

As much as I wanted to love this foundation, because of all the great reviews I've read, I don't.
Went into Sephora this past week with the intention of buying the Lock It Tattoo Foundation. I needed to be matched to my shade and wasn't about to just buy one and walk out without knowing what they looked like on me first. At $34 bucks, that ain't cheap, and I'm not coming back to return a trial and error.
They don't make an in between shade that's close to what undertone I am. The darker one (shade 58) had too much beige in it and the lighter one (shade m57) was too orange. Anything below those numbers were too light.
A way to know if it matches you well is to compare it to your neck line after it's on your face. If the foundation blends evenly between both your neck and face it's a good match.
When I tried both colors, one on each side of my face, the foundation sank into my pores!
No thanks. It's bad enough I have enlarged pores I don't need to accentuate them as well. Of course I had no primer underneath but still I have a rule of thumb that if you need too many products your doing too much to make that one product work for you- so move on.
Sadly, I walked away without my beloved Kat Von D products. Sad face.

UPDATE- Alight ladies it's been too long! Drum roll...I am medium 54 in Kat's Lock It liquid Foundation. I am totally obsessed with the coverage after doing a trial of it for a week in the right shade for me. I'm in love with my new routine. I start off with my lotion Gold Bond Aloe, sort of a sticky but moisturizes lotion, but it's awesome because it doubles as a primer.
Then I dotted the Lock It foundation on my face. With a silicone round sponge I smoothed it on in small circles throughout my entire face. Did it twice for full coverage. I can't stop raving about it! Heres some pictures-

(No filters, natural light. One hr wear)

(Different day. After 5 hrs wear. Direct sunlight, no filters)

Highly recommend this to my oily skinned gals. Just make sure to exfoliate the night before and slather on an oil free lotion before applying this foundation on. I did not need a powder after but light blotting sheets were used once in the after noon.
