Mac Viva Glam Miley Cirus 2 Dupe for Lady Danger?

I wasn't even aware miley cirus had done a collaboration with Mac until I walked into my local Mac Pro store near me and a makeup artist showed me it. At glance its an orange red.
Very pretty in the tube.
However, I already own Lady Danger. Which is their main orange red in their permanent line. So I thought how is this one any different, as the worker also informs me that it's a matte formula. Really?
In the tube it had a slight sheen to it.
I had to try it. (VIVA GLAM MS 2 is on the left, Lady Danger on the right)

The formula on MS 2 is so much better and easier to apply than Lady Danger. It's creamier and smoother. Lady Danger is super dry and a bit more pigmented than MS 2.
Upon comparison lady danger is a true orange red and for some odd reason the ms 2 has almost like a salmon like (peachy) tone to it. (Left LD, right MS 2) and appears more moist.

A tad different than a true orange red. And believe me, I have been obsessed with bright orange lipsticks for years,
they are hard to come by and find the right shade.
If I had to pick one I would say the MS 2 one is a lot better formulated than the old formula on the Lady Danger one.
If your also able to get your hands on the MS 2 one your also supporting the viva glam program. Here's information on that www.macaidsfund.org
UPDATE- After wearing both shades I have to re-adjust my review.
MS 2 feathers out big time, lip liner is a must for it.
(This is MS 2 on me, NC 40 Studio Fix)

I also feel that LD is a truer more pigmented orange red that does not bleed, where as MS 2 lacks both these qualities. (Here's one with me wearing Lady Danger)

So if you
already own LD you don't need this one ladies. Just make sure to moisturize before applying it with lip balm.
Another more affordable orange red is Revlon Coral Red in the black tubes.

MAC Blunt Review Contouring

In my last stop at MAC I bought Blunt matte blush. This is a scary color for a blush if you're not aware of what this kind of color is intended for. In the pan it is a dark brown color but on the actual skin it has hues of red.
This was a recommendation from a MAC makeup artist.
I asked her what is a good contour product that they carry, and what I mean by contour I mean it looks obvious from miles away that I have cheekbones. lol.
This is what she tried on me. When you're in store they have all the products at hand, so she can blend ten different things, and come up with a whole new shade. Something to keep in mind is to remember there are dupe products you might already own and or can blend to make a certain color.
Afterwards I really liked the results.
She contoured my cheekbones, upper forehead, and my lower jaw line. On top of that she blended a peach blush on the apples of my cheeks. She also used a shimmery bronzer, which I knew I wasn't going to buy. Bronzers are not my thing, or anything shimmery. My skin is too oily for that ish.
I bought the Blunt blush powder and the Pro Longwear Compact.
Will be posting my outcome look and what I do at home to contour soon.

I really like how Kandee Johnson does her contouring in this video. It's very exaggerated makeup but she makes great points and tips clear.

MAC Pro Longwear SPF 20 Compact Foundation Review

Let me start off by mentioning that MAC's creme to powder foundation is not a new concept. As a matter of fact Max Factor use to have a similar creme to powder compact. I used to love my Max Factor one but since this brand is no longer available in the U.S. I had to switch over to liquid.
Anyways, back on topic...
I went to my nearest MAC Pro Store and saw that they came out with their own creme compact. I flagged a sales girl down immediately to match me. The result was NC40. With my liquid Studio Fix I'm NC35, which seemed odd to me until she explained that their colors change varying from foundation type. I thought to myself great, hope I don't have to return to exchange it later.
Bought it, took it home. (Also got Blunt Powder, separate review)
A week later I was excited to try it out by myself. Having had prior experience with creme foundation I knew I wasn't going to be using the round sponge that came with it in the bottom compartment. Too much crude gets on it from your purse if you carry it around with you. Thanks in part to the bottom of the compact having a sorta see through mesh.
I got some regular triangle sponges and gently swiped the foundation compact. Very smooth and creamy, velvet like texture and super easy to blend on your skin. Doesn't dry harshly and you can continue to keep building the coverage without it looking cakey.
After applying it on my entire face it felt and looked natural without it looking fake on my skin. And yes, I know it's makeup, but it doesn't look like your wearing a mask. I want to compare the finish to a bb creme like finish. And it does dry matte, at least for the first couple hours on me, I have really oily skin.
I chose not to set it with a powder which is probably why I got oily half way through the day.
The color match does feel off to me still but not by a whole bunch. Surprisingly NC40 looked lighter by a shade off. And I mentioned I wear Studio Fix Liquid in NC35.
I like that it comes in compact form making so much easier for touch ups through the day. Reminds me of the studio fix powder foundation compacts.
If you decide to get this or try it make you go in person and get matched.

MAC Small Haul / Review Mineralize Lipstick & Pressed Pigment

I have not had the chance to really buy any makeup lately but made the exception the other night when I went into Saks Fifth Avenue. Love that they carry discontinued MAC makeup!!!
You can no longer purchase the limited ones at their actual booths or at their stores.
So ladies I do recommend that you find out if there's one near you. You save a good portion of your money too.
I bought their mineralize lipstick in Style Surge. I didn't even know that they had made these. (Yes I know I'm way behind on whats on trend as far as makeup goes right now.)
It's a beautiful coral pink salmon color that's super creamy and doesn't try out your lips like so many of the their other lipsticks from their permanent line do. I have recently gotten into Corals and this was a must have for me. Normally $22, only paid 14 and some tax.
I also got one of their  pressed pigments in Jet Couture. A pretty black eye shadow with silver glitter. Again, I didn't know they started making pigments into pot forms. This costs $21 online but I only paid 14 and some more tax.
(Here's a picture of me trying them out together. Wearing MAC NC35 studio fix liquid. Lipstick Style Surge. And the eye shadow Jet Couture)
